SSIU 2012: International Summer School "Information and Uncertainty"

SSIU 2012 brought together researchers in the areas of information and uncertainty to present recent results and discuss current and future research directions. Of a particular interest to the event were fuzzy logic, veristic uncertainty, probabilistic uncertainty, uncertainty measures, rough sets, and their applications.
The Summer School consisted of series of tutorial-like talks by internationally recognized experts and was thus particularly suitable for young researchers including doctoral students. The areas covered by the tutorials include historical developments of fuzzy logic, MV- and other algebras of logic, aggregation functions, generalized measures, foundations of rough sets, random relational data, and similarity relations. The list of speakers includes A. G. Bronevich, A. Di Nola, A. Dvurecenskij, R. Emilion, L. Godo, S. Gottwald, S. O. Kuznetsov, R. Mesiar, L. Polkowski, J. Recasens and R. Yager.
